Benchmark Study on Patient Privacy and Data Security

This study was created to understand healthcare providers' patient privacy practices and their experience in dealing with the loss or theft of patient information in light of the new requirements mandated by the HITECH Act. Our study found that data breaches are a frequent occurrence at health care organizations – threatening patient privacy and leaving health care organizations with a heavy financial burden.
